Isabelle Mercier and Poker

People who earn nicknames like "No Mercy" should at least be respected, especially at the poker table. Isabelle Mercier is the proud owner of that nickname and as one who has earned it, she should be. A famous Canadian player with stunning looks and a substantial amount of winnings, her adventures on the poker circuit have earned renown for a large number of reasons. Isabelle has as much depth as the game of Texas Hold'em itself - she graduated and is the proud owner of a degree earned from the University of Montreal.

Isabelle Mercier would not start her career as a player, but as a floor manager at Aviation Poker. Aviation Poker itself is a known name around the poker world as it is over one hundred years old. Isabelle Mercier as a player is young, but full of promise, already with seven hundred thousand dollars under her name as winnings, with the finest years ahead of her rather than behind her.

She would make her first major adventure into the World Poker Tour at its Ladies Event, which is already famous in its own right. In 2004, Isabelle Mercier will make an astounding performance, finishing first in what was a highly competitive and dangerous field, getting in the way of other high ranking players such as Cindy Violette and the ever famous Wendeen Eolis, making that everyone would remember her name.

Isabelle Mercier has even garnered enough kudos to confidently make and release an instructional video on poker and this would only be the beginning. Her autobiography would also focus on her poker life, as it was called "Profession: Bluffer" and was released early in the year of 2008, although it more released in France than anywhere else.

Isabelle Mercier's poker adventures, as stated before, have only begun as she continues to play heavily through various tournaments. Despite putting her bags down in Quebec, she professes that she lives out of her bag due to her travel. Isabelle respects many of the opponents across the table, other talented players such as Daniel Negreanu and Phil Ivey.

If asked, Isabelle Mercier would swear that her skills were handed down through her family. She has hinted that she considers winning at the large tournaments empowering and thus, aims to win as many as she can. That threat is backed up with her considerable skill and she's well on her way to accomplishing her goals at the poker tables.
